About / Since 2019
Grand Rapids
Tango.
We’re a community of Argentine tango dancers based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We host Wednesday lessons and prácticas and help people find tango across West Michigan.
Tango in West Michigan
A site for the
whole region.
We want people to find Argentine tango throughout West Michigan, whether they’re taking a first lesson or looking for somewhere new to dance.
Alongside GRT’s Wednesday gathering, this site shares regional events and helps you connect with other organizers and teachers.
Organize a dance or teach in the area? We’d like to hear from you.

How GRT began.
Grand Rapids Tango began in 2019, when Erin Malley and Doruk Golcu started teaching Argentine tango in Grand Rapids.
In March 2025, organizing passed to local dancers Kirsten, Kaleb, and Taylor.
Today, we meet every Wednesday at Ritual Wines GR for an introductory lesson and an open práctica.
